Last Reflection:
I really did enjoy reading this book. I learn't a lot about the Tebow family and what their lives were like growing up. Tim has a lot of character to him and I love his positivity as well as the passion he has for football. I would definitely like to meet him in person and see if this book betrays him exactly as is or if it was a humble telling of his life.
If I were to pick one thing that inspired me in this book it would be a hard choice. The amount of dedication he had for those in need was absolutely amazing. He would do everything in his power to help the less fortunate. However having to choose I would say that it is his passion that really inspired me. His passion led to his leadership and to his determination. There was so much passion in football for him that he wanted to be the leader of the team, he wanted to be able to make the right calls and the right passes and he would train hours on end to make sure that he knew exactly what he was doing. Training, I know I have mentioned this a lot but he would really train everyday and he would give a full 100% in every training session. His dedication on how hard he worked and how far he pushed himself was all for the love of football. If that isn't inspiring then I don't know what is.
I think the life lesson that is to be learn't in this book is if you live everyday with a positive and determined outlook then you will make it far in life, because you cant live a positive life with a negative outlook. Tebow really shows that throughout the novel because with every bad event or bad pass or bad call made he shakes it off and tells himself "I'll do better next time" or "It will pass, its happened for a reason". Honestly you are in charge of your own happiness. Even if you have bad days its up to you whether you want to dwell on it or keep moving forward. For Tebow it was never a tough decision and move forward he did. The best section in the book is when you read about his decision and all the stress led up to which university he would attend. It was hard for him to choose between the two universities with coaches he had built a relationship with and really wanted to play for. Its a decision that many grade 12s have to make. What school is the best school for me? What school do I want to go to? and What schools do I have the grades to get into? It'll soon be easy for everyone to relate to Tebows tough decision. Maybe not as tough but a tough decision it is and for Tebow, because he was so religious it was a matter of whatever school he chose it was the right one that god wanted him to choose. It might not have been the happiest moment of time for him, in fact it was probably the most stressful but it was the best moment because it's something that everyone can relate to, what choices should I make for the best future possible for me? And I hope everyones decision is the best one for them.
