Reflection While Reading #4

High school:

Tim might have been homeschooled but he actively participated in High school sports through the high school he that was in his residential area. He didn't attend the NEASE High school but he did participate on the football team. His passion for football grew and remained strong. He adopted the mantra " Somewhere he is out there, Training while I am not. One day when we meet, he will win". This is the mantra that kept him pushing, it pushed him to train like a college pro and to keep pushing himself. Not only was he farmer strong from all the cattle that needed to be chased and bails of hay to lift and other farmer jobs but when he started to train with weights. This is what got him so much attention with his high school football career. And near the end of his second to last year he got a lot of attention from Universities wanting to get him at their schools.

Its always been a dream of mine to get a sports scholarship, however I never had enough passion for basketball to really pursue it. So that is just a fantasy. However I think that it is so so so great when someone is being pursued by universities to sign with their team. Tim had so much passion for football, yes baseball came to him the most naturally but nothing spoke to him the way being a football quarterback did. He trained for hours on end, when the teams practice was over he would stay back later and go over what he learnt; perfecting it. Then he would fitting working out in the gym; or at least his home gym, in his spare time. Working on resistance in order to build his strength. Its that kind of determination that makes athletes. When they have such a passion for a sport that all they think about it how they can improve their game, what new approaches they can take to be the better team. Their determination is touching to watch.
